Abstract

[EN] The 'Fondo de Música Tradicional' (FMT) at the Institución Milá y Fontanals, CSIC [Spanish National Research Council] in Barcelona holds a letter (8 March 1948) sent by the philol-ogist Josep Romeu Figueras (1917-2004) to Ramón Menéndez Pidal (1869-1968) and the typed-written texts of sixty-one versions of the romances Gerineldo and La Boda estorbada(IGR: 0023 + 0110) which accompanied the letter. Those texts were collected during the mi-siones folclóricas organized by the former Instituto Español de Musicología of the CSIC be-tween 1944 and 1960. These texts and the corresponding melodies can be consulted now in the website of the FMT: (ISSN 2564-8500). Many other sung versions of romances hitherto unpublished are now available in this website containing more than 22.000 pieces of oral tradition, a repository that continues to grow due to the gathering of new materials on an ongoing basis. This website/database constitutes a powerful research tool, opened to the collaboration with researchers of the romancero.
