Abstract

[EN] Once recognised the difficulties that enclose the accomplishment of thesaurus projects in Spain, an evaluation is made over the 47 thesauri which can be properly so considered. In this evaluation, besides a thematic distribution, the following parameters are considered: information quality of the presentation, internal consistency, semantic structure and aesthetic aspects. The results show a high leve1 of poverty in the presentation, specially in the systematic part, insufficiency in the interna1 consistency and remarkable defects in the vocabulary semantic structure. Therefore, as conclusion there is a calling for interistitutional cooperation for improving the quality of these languages in the Spanish speaking area.
