Cultura científica en la red: páginas web de divulgación y participación ciudadana en el CSIC

Abstract

Internet constituye un escenario relativamente novedoso para el fomento de la cultura científica. Su inmediatez, interactividad, amplia difusión y bajo coste han propiciado el surgimiento de múltiples páginas web orientadas a la divulgación y a la participación ciudadana en ciencia. Desde su creación, la Vicepresidencia Adjunta de Cultura Científica (VACC) del CSIC ha explorado las posibilidades de la red a través de páginas con contenidos, públicos y objetivos diversos: difusión de actividades (www.semanadelaciencia.csic.es), conmemoración de hitos científicos (www.darwin.csic.es), fomento de la participación ciudadana (www.ibercivis.es), documentación audiovisual (www.cienciatk.es), etc. La presente comunicación analiza las páginas más significativas de la VACC con objeto de identificar los principales problemas que enfrenta la divulgación científica en la red y los límites y posibilidades para la participación ciudadana en ciencia de la introducción del paradigma 2.0.
