Abstract

Después de presentar una síntesis del desarrollo de la flota comercial catalana y de su importancia para la expansión territorial, estudia todos los puertos del litoral catalán, valenciano y de las Baleares con actividad de transporte documentada, tanto los más grandes, abiertos al comercio internacional, como los más pequeños embarcadores o fondeaderos, que sólo hacían transporte de cercanía (a los que dedica mayor atención); muestra que la interconexión entre todo el litoral mencionado era muy fuerte y presenta una síntesis de las principales líneas de comercio internacional
