Diseño y desarrollo de un Sistema de Base de Datos e Información Gravimétrica

Abstract

We present a new Gravity Information and Database System. The main goal of this system is the storage and the management of gravity and geodetic data and related information generated by the research group in the study of gravity networks. Together with the database, the system is composed by severa/ too/s to make easier all the tasks in these gravity works. Thus, the Data Field Editor allows to users the massive storage of fie/d data (alphanumeric 01' graphic information) into the database. The Data Fie/d Editor incorporates a usefu/ 100/ to identify automatically photographic images, down/oaded from digital cameras, corresponding to each station in a gravity campaign. Raw and processed data, which are integrated in the gravity database, are automatically evaluated by exhaustive validation controls in order to guarantee the uniqueness, the homogeneity and the reliability of the information. Besides, with the Data Base Editor users can easily search for specific data related to the area of study areas, the lime range, data type, etc. In order to eva/uate, to visualize, 01' to down/oad the required data the Editor can pro vide them in severa/ formats (ascii fi/es, graphics). The system is comp/eted with its own graphics and p/otting tools, which can be used also as additional data validation methods. As an information system, it is ab/e 10 generate georeferenced coordina te maps of gravity stations in a se/ected area of study showing gravity information (e.g. ca/cu/ated gravity va/ues or Bouguer anomalies) and geographical data layers, such as coastlines, political boundaries.
