Gliotoxina (GT) es la toxina producida mayoritariamentepor las cepas de Aspergillus fumigatus(AF). Bismetil-gliotoxina (bmGT),metabolito secundario y de mayor estabilidad que GT, se ha detectadoen el suero de pacientes con infección fúngica invasiva (IFI) y constituyeun marcador más sensible y específico que el galactomanano (GM) enel diagnóstico de IFI. Estudios in vitro han demostrado que entre las fun-ciones inmunosupresoras de la GT está la de bloquear la función fisi-ológica de los linfocitos T (LT). El objetivo del estudio es identificar lapresencia de bmGT en pacientes que reciben un trasplante de progen-itores hematopoyéticos alogénico (alo-TPH) y conocer su potencial in-munoregulador sobre la funcionalidad de los LT anti-virales de estospacientes.
