Abstract

La explotación del ganado ovino para la producción de leche ha sido tradicional en los paises del área mediterranea, y se presenta como una alternativa a los actuales sistemas de producción en los paises suramericanos, especialmente en condiciones donde el tamaño de las explotaciones o sus especiales condiciones no permiten el desarrollo de una ganadería tradicional (carne, lana) rentable.
