In this work, the behaviour of a cantilever as laboratory probe is shown. The obtained results can be used as input parameters in the design stage of civil infrastructures. The measurement of strain and vibrations, both in static and dynamic regime (frequencies below 2kHz), have been performed with fibre optic Bragg gratings and attached on the cantilever, showing a high reliability, sensitivity and dynamic range in all tests performed.
