Galdós y el «prodigioso invento» del cinematógrafo

Abstract

[EN] During 1916, Eduardo Zamacois prepared various conferences about Spanish writers and artists and the art of bullfighting which he taught intermittently across the American Continent from 1917 to 1925. In order to illustrate his talks, he provided film images of, among others, Galdós, which were quite possibly recorded by Enrique Blanco Pallarés, one of the founders of the Iberia Cines laboratory. The preserved fragment of the moving image of the Canarian author was also used by Luis Araquistain and José Coll y Cuchí (1926-1927), and by Rodolfo Llopis (1930 and 1932) in their American lectures.
