Abstract

EN LA PRESENTE INVESTIGACION SE COMPARAN, FRENTE AL LABOREO TRADICIONAL, LOS EFECTOS DE DOS SISTEMAS DE LABOREO DE CONSERVACION -LABOREO REDUCIDO Y NO LABOREO- SOBRE EL ESTADO FISICO DEL SUELO Y EL DESARROLLO DE UN CULTIVO DE CEBADA, EN CUATRO ZONAS AGROCLIMATICAS DEL SECANO ARAGONES, TANTO BAJO CULTIVO ANUAL COMO DE AÑO Y VEZ. LA CARACTERIZACION INICIAL DE LA VARIABILIDAD ESPACIAL DE LA CAPA ARABLE PERMITIO UTILIZAR UN DISEÑO EXPERIMENTAL DE BLOQUES INCOMPLETOS BASADO EN LA GEOESTADISTICA. EL SEGUIMIENTO A LO LARGO DE DOS CAMPAÑAS EXPERIMENTALES (1990-91 Y 1991-92) DE PARAMETROS DE SUELO (PERFILES DE HUMEDAD Y DE RESISTENCIA A LA PENETRACION) Y DE CULTIVO (BIOMASA, LAI, RENDIMIENTO, ETC.), ASI COMO LA DETERMINACION PUNTUAL DE OTRAS VARIABLES DE SUELO (DISTRIBUCION DE TAMAÑOS DE AGREGADOS, MACROPOROSIDAD Y CONDUCTIVIDAD HIDRAULICA A SATURACION), HAN PERMITIDO CONCLUIR QUE MIENTRAS EL LABOREO REDUCIDO PUEDE CONTEMPLARSE COMO UNA ALTERNATIVA VALIDA AL CONVENCIONAL EN LOS AGROSISTEMAS ESTUDIADOS, EL NO LABOREO NO PARECE VIABLE EN LOS AMBIENTES MAS ARIDOS, DONDE LA RESPUESTA ESTA FUERTEMENTE CONDICIONADA POR EL REGIMEN DE LLUVIAS Y LOS MAYORES NIVELES DE COMPACTACION QUE ESTA PRACTICA CONLLEVA.
