Abstract

EL LA PRESENTE TESIS SE HA LLEVADO A CABO EL ANALISIS DE LA DEFICIENCIA DE HIERRO EN UNA ESPECIE MUY EFICIENTE EN LA TOMA DE ESTE ELEMENTO, BETA VULGARIS. SE HAN CARACTERIZADO TODO UN CONJUNTO DE RESPUESTAS MORFOLOGICAS Y BIOQUIMICAS, TODAS ELLAS CON UN SIGNIFICADO FISIOLOGICO. DENTRO DE LOS CAMBIOS MORFOLOGICOS SE HA OBSERVADO UN DESCENSO DE LA MASA RADICULAR TOTAL ASOCIADO AL DESARROLLO DE GRAN NUMERO DE RAICES SECUNDARIAS DONDE SE LOCALIZAN UNA SERIE DE RESPUESTAS BIOQUIMICAS. ESTAS CONSISTEN EN UN AUMENTO DE LA CAPACIDAD PARA PRODUCIR UN DESCONSO DE PH DEL MEDIO DE CULTIVO, LA PRODUCCION-ACUMULACION O SECRECION- DE SULFATOS DE RIBOFLAVINA (DESCRITOS POR PRIMERA VEZ EN UN MATERIAL BIOLOGICO EN ESTE TRABAJO), UN INCREMENTO DE 2 A 3 VECES DEL SISTEMA ENZIMATICO, EXISTENTE EN PLANTAS NO DEFICIENTES Y ENCARGADO DE LA REDUCCION DE HIERRO; ESTE SISTEMA ESTA LOCALIZADO EN LA MEMBRANA PLASMATICA. OTRA RESPUESTAS ES LA APARICION DE UN NUEVO MECANISMO DE REDUCCION, QUE SE MANIFIESTAS EN LA PLANTA ENTERA A PH INFERIOR A 6,3. TODAS ESTAS RESPUESTAS ACTUARIAN DE UNA FORMA CONJUNTA PRODUCIENDO UN INCREMENTO NOTABLE EN LA CAPACIDAD REDUCTORA DE HIERRO POR LA PLANTA. SE HAN ESTABLECIDO LAS BASES PARA EL DESARROLLO DE POSIBLES TECNICAS DE SELECCION RAPIDA DE VARIEDADES QUE PRESENTEN TOLERANCIA AL ESTRES FERRICO.
