Abstract

Los programas de mejora de variedades de melocotonero en el mundo han llevado a la obtención de un gran número de variedades registradas, la mayoría procedentes de EE UU Debido al acceso restringido de nuevas variedades desarrolladas en otros países, en España han comenzado varios programas de mejora para la obtención de melocotonero y nectarina adaptados a las necesidades de cada zona frutícola.

Se agradece la financiación del MCyT y del INIA a los proyectos de investigación AGL 2002-04219 y RFO3-014, respectivamente.
