Rápida recuperación de las poblaciones de anfibios en ocho lagos de alta montaña vinculada a la erradicación de peces exóticos

Abstract

El proyecto LIFE+ LimnoPirineus (2014-2019) tiene como uno de sus objetivos la recuperación de las poblaciones de anfibios en 8 lagos del Parque Nacional de Aigüestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici i del Parque Natural del Alt Pirineu, mediante la erradicación o control de peces exóticos. Durante los veranos de 2014 a 2018, hemos extraído la práctica totalidad de los peces presentes en los lagos. A lo largo del periodo de trabajo, hemos comprobado que la mayoría de las especies de anfibios autóctonos presentes en cada circo han colonizado de forma espontánea los 8 lagos objetivo. Esto muestra la alta capacidad de recuperación de la fauna anfibia de los lagos de alta montaña después de eliminar o mitigar el impacto que representan los peces exóticos.
