Ràpida recuperació de les poblacions d’amfibis en vuit estanys d’alta muntanya lligada a l’erradicació de peixos introduïts

Abstract

El projecte LIFE+ LimnoPirineus (2014-2019) té entre els seus objectius la recuperació de les poblacions d’amfibis en vuit estanys del Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici i del Parc Natural de l’Alt Pirineu, mitjançant l’erradicació o el control de peixos introduïts. Durant els estius de 2014 a 2018, hem extret la pràctica totalitat dels peixos presents als estanys. Al llarg del període d’actuació, hem trobat que la majoria de les espècies d’amfibis autòctons presents en cada circ d’actuació han colonitzat de manera natural tots els estanys. Això mostra l’alta capacitat de recuperació de la fauna amfíbia dels estanys d’alta muntanya després de reduir o eliminar la pressió exercida pels peixos introduïts.
