[ES] Quizá lo manchego imprima cierto carácter y, acaso por ello, no le falte un tanto de quijotismo a la trayectoria vital y profesional de dos comprometidos artistas manchegos a quienes el destino, pese a las vías diferentes, deparó una ruta semejante. Tanto Gabriel García Maroto como Miguel Prieto son artistas manchegos exiliados en México. Dos artistas aludidos con bastante frecuencia en las historias del arte del siglo XX españolas y mexicanas pero de quienes, en realidad, salvo aportaciones puntuales, se sabe muy poco. Este artículo pretende adentrarse en sus biografías y aportar una amplia bibliografía que pueda contribuir a un estudio posterior mucho más intenso.
[EN] Both Gabriel García Maroto and Miguel Prieto are artists from La Mancha exiled in México. Two artists frequently mentioned in XX siecle Spanish and mexican art history, but of whom besides of punctual contributions, it's known very little in truth. This article trays to dive in their biographies and bring a wide bibliography thst can contribute to further and deeper studies.
