El consumo (embriagante) de vino en la antigua Siria-Palestina: La consideración de la ebriedad, el beber del padre y los deberes del buen hijo

Abstract

[ES ]La ingestión excesiva de bebidas alcohólicas está marcada, todavía hoy, de forma fuertemente negativa. Tal visión negativa –y las prevenciones y prohibiciones que en muchos casos conlleva–se construye sobre tradiciones que, tanto en el Occidente cristiano como en el ámbito islámico, parecen enraizarse en las más antiguas culturas orientales. Sin embargo, en aquellas en las que podemos advertirlo de modo más genuino, tanto la ingestión de bebidas por su contenido alcohólico como la ebriedad buscada mediante su consumo en abundancia interpretaban también un papel importante, aceptado e integrado, que no siempre parece ser visto de forma negativa. Esta ebriedad, ligada esencialmente al vino, se relacionaba con los importantes ámbitos de lapiedad religiosa y filial en las culturas semíticas noroccidentales (de laque los fenicios y sus antecesores son un ejemplo fundamental cuya influencia se extendió hasta la Península Ibérica). De esta consideración de la ebriedad, de la relación especial del beber con la figura paterna y del consiguiente deber y respeto que se manifiesta a través de las atenciones del hijo a su padre en la ebriedad nos ocuparemos en el presente trabajo.
