Authors: Quirós García, Mariano;

Non furtum facies

Abstract

[EN] This paper examines the articulation of the economic discourse and Renaissance penitential literature, and values the originality of the latter with respect to prior periods. Is also highlighted, the shortcomings of the manuals of confession as a genre to describe and judge the renewed business practices of the time, reason that, according to Castilian writers, prompted the birth of the first Spanish line of economic thought.
