Abstract

[ES] Presentación realizada a la “IV Setmana de la Prehistoria” organizada por la Universitat de Lleida el 18 de noviembre de 2009. Se expuso una panorámica general del fenómeno megalítico de la fachada atlántica europea, haciendo hincapié en su dimensión paisajística y arquitectónica. Se toma como hilo cronológico de la argumentación el ejemplo de la Bretaña francesa. La presentación integra una breve reseña historiográfica al inicio, así como una reflexión sobre las líneas actuales y perspectivas futuras de la investigación internacional sobre el megalitismo.

[EN] Presentation made for the "IV Setmana de la Prehistoria" organized by the Universitat de Lleida on november 18th, 2009. We displayed a general view of megalitism on the North-west Coast in Europe highlighting his architectonic and landscape dimension. We used the chronology for Brittany as object lesson. The presentation enclosed as well a brief review about the main lines of the international research in megaliths.
