[EN] During the recent works of excavation and restoration of the Umayyad palace of Amman a bath has been discovered and restored. The bath was certainly related to the palace although due to its situation it could also been used as a public utility. The building is located beside the great entrance hall of the palace. It had a room for undressing and resting that perhaps was also used as audience hall, a cold room and two hot rooms. Those, as well as the fire place, have been found completely destroyed. The bath had a great cistern and a channel system for collecting and supplying the water. From the point of view of the type, it is similar to other umayyad baths well known and should have uses related with the palace and also a public utility.
