Abstract

[EN]The aim of the present work was to test the effectiveness of hydrogeochemical patterns of F, K and Na for regional exploration of tin-bearing mineralizations in the province of Zamora (Spain), With a mean sampling density of 2 samples/km2, 299 stream waters from drainage system were collected. Each sample was analysed for F, K, and Na. Cassiterite mineralizations (disseminations and veins) related to aplites, aplopegmatites and leucogranites have been reflected by anomalous contents of F. However, cassiterite quartz veins in regional metasedimentary series have not been detected. K-anomalies suggest anthropogenic pollution; they are located in streams draining from villages.
