Abstract

El estudio de las cuencas intramontañosas del Sur de Sierra Nevada y del frente de la Zona Externa de la Cordillera Bética centro-oriental aporta nuevos datos esenciales para entender la evolución tectónica alpina del Mediterráneo occidental. Este trabajo de investigación integra nuevos datos geológicos, geofísicos y geodésicos para contribuir a los principales modelos geodinámicos propuestos para el desarrollo del Arco de Gibraltar.

The study of the intramontane basins southward Sierra Nevada and the centraleastern Betic Cordillera External Zone Front provides new essential data to understand the western Mediterranean alpine tectonic evolution. This research integrates new acquired geological, geophysical and geodetical data to contribute to the main geodynamic models proposed for the Gibraltar Arc development.
