[EN] This dissemination paper gives an overview of various important issues of reactive nanomaterials in their application as catalysts in reactions of interest. Specifically, this manuscript seeks to answer different fundamental questions such as: what are reactive nanomaterials? which are reactive nanomaterials? how are they made? what are they currently used for? and finally, how far can you go with their development? Finally, I show briefly how the incorporation of novel reactive nanomaterials in catalytic converters of cars with internal combustion engines can allow us to considerably reduce the emission of polluting compounds into the atmosphere.
