Abstract

[EN]: This paper includes a compilation of the archaeozoological data about archaeological sites of the Islamic Middle Ages located in Andalusia, that has already been published this far. Its goal is to check the advances of researches in this field and attempt to define the archaeozoological criteria that characterize the Andalusi archaeological records. In spite the scarcity of publications located, only a 7,8% of the total amount of archaeological sites inspected in Andalusia, and in spite the heterogeneous nature of datings and of the geographical locations, it has been possible to analyze aspects related with management of species by Andalusi communities and its feeding preferences, which result to be highly defined by the religious beliefs of these human groups.
