Abstract

[EN] The labil potassium reserve of arable layer from some great soil groups is studied, trough the procedure of Hagin-Feigenbaum. The purpose of this work is to verify whether ammonium acetate extracts completely this reserva or by the contrary in these soils exist also a considerable contribution from the fixed potassium to the labil reserve. The maximum ammount of potassium released is calculated by two different equations, one of them is the conventional Langmuir equation and the other is new one proposed by Syers et al. The behaviour of these soils is quite different, it can say that in all soils included in serosem group show only one site from which provides all K exchangeable while in gypsum serosem Peralta serie points out that the renewal from the exchangeable form is similar to that exhibited from the fraction of fixed potassium solublein acid. In the case of brown soils as well as brown earth, slightly higher values of K released than K extracted by ammonium acetate, are obtained, thus it can be interpreted that this ammonium acetate solutions does not extract completely the reserve of K in these soils.
