3D printing buildings with concrete: New requirements for new needs

Abstract

The numerical data reflect very high economic and time saving, better mechanical performance associated with the development of new materials. The communication will cover in depth the main lines of digital manufacturing of the last 50 years, the conclusions of our national and European research projects for 3D printing on a large scale with construction materials (concrete, plaster, ceramics, mixtures mixed, etc.) and especially the new trends that will give technical solution to the needs of the new geometrical forms, work methodologies, and mechanical / physical characteristics of the materials in their manufacturing process through 3D printing. A challenge, an opportunity and an interesting future.
