Abstract

[EN] Comparison was made between body measurements (weight, total length, circumference and skin thickness) and subjective estimates of nutritional condition using a sample of 20 chamois and 22 roe deer in the Val de Susa (ltaly). There were significant correlations between the subjective assessments and both body weight and circumference. Correlations among the subjective estimate, circumference and skin thickness differed between chamois and roe deer depending on the anatomical location at which measurements were taken.
