Abstract

[ES] Se detallan los resultados arqueológicos de la excavación realizada en el año 1993 en el yacimiento de Alto do Castro (Laxos, Cuntis, Pontevedra), luego de la afección causada por las obras de construcción del oleoducto A Coruña-Vigo. En primer lugar se detalla el conjunto de elementos y relaciones estratigráficas documentadas y seguidamente se realiza un análisis detenido del conjunto de materiales recuperados, especialmente de las producciones cerámicas. Finalmente se incluye un ensayo de síntesis general de las dinámicas de ocupación y abandono del poblado, y una serie de reflexiones metodológicas sobre los trabajos realizados.

[EN] The text deals with the archaeological results of the excavation carried out in 1993 in the fortified settlement of Alto do Castro (Laxos, Cuntis, Pontevedra) after the impact caused by the works of the pipeline A Coruña-Vigo. Firstly, the text presents the stratigraphical elements and relations documented, to follow with a detailed analysis of the material culture, specially pottery. Finally, an attempt of a general synthesis of the dynamics of occupation and abandonment of the site is made, as well as a series of methodological considerations relating the fieldwork process.
