Los sistemas de telecontrol de las comunidades de regantes de Castilla y León

Abstract

Los procesos de modernización de regadíos que han tenido lugar en España en el siglo XX han sido muy importantes en Castilla y León. En esta comunidad se han modernizado aproximadamente 110.000 de sus 489.189 ha de riego. La modernización ha dado lugar a un importante cambio en los sistemas de riego, con un importante crecimiento de los sistemas presurizados. Los sistemas de telecontrol han supuesto una parte importante de la modernización de regadíos. En Castilla y León, el Gobierno regional vio en los telecontroles posibilidades para la eficiencia, la automatización, la modernización de la gestión y la mejora de la renta de los agricultores. De hecho, la modernización de los regadíos ha supuesto ya una reducción del 30% en el uso del agua. Las encuestas realizadas a las comunidades de regantes con telecontrol en Castilla y León mostraron que los agricultores estaban muy satisfechos con las redes de riego, y un poco menos con el telecontrol. El 82% de las comunidades encuestadas usan el telecontrol diariamente, y el 73% lo usa para leer los contadores y facturar el agua. Estas cifras están por encima de la media española, lo que significa que los telecontroles están siendo usados con alta intensidad en la región.
