La música en España e Hispanoamérica durante la ocupación napoleónica (1808-1814)

Abstract

[ES] Visión general de la actividad musical en España y sus colonias americanas durante la Guerra de la Independencia contra la Francia de Napoleón Bonaparte. El trabajo consta de cuatro secciones: 1) música en la calle; 2) música teatral; 3) actividad musical en salones y casas particulares; y 4) el ceremonial litúrgico-musical. Aporta información nueva procedente del Archivo General de Indias de Sevilla y de otros archivos españoles e incluye tres Apéndices y cuatro Ilustraciones.

[EN] Overview on musical activity in Spain and its American colonies during the Spanish War of Independence against Napoleon Bonaparte’s France. The work has four sections: 1) music in the streets; 2) theatrical music; 3) musical activity in the domestic context; and 4) liturgical and musical ceremonies. It includes new information from the Archivo General de Indias in Seville and from other Spanish archives, as well as three Appendices and four Illustrations.
