Abstract

Se han utilizado los datos correspondientes a 11 ovejas (Ovis aries) 10 cabras monteses (Capra pyrenaica hispánica) y 24 rebecos (Rupicapra pyrenaica}. El aparato digestivo, se fraccionó en los siguientes compartimentos: retículo-rumen, omaso, abomaso, intestino delgado, intestino grueso y ciego. El peso del aparato digestivo total vacío y de todos sus compartimentos fue mayor en las ovejas que en los rebecos, ocupando la cabra montés una situación intermedia. Expresados como proporción del peso vivo vacío se mantienen las diferencias interespecíficas, excepto para el retículo-rumen y su contenido. En relación con el aparato digestivo total, la oveja presenta una menor porporción de retículo-rumen y omaso que la cabra y el rebeco, siendo mayor el desanollo relativo del abomaso, intestino grueso y ciego. La relación entre los distintos compartimentos manifestó, así mismo importantes diferencias interespecíficas, observándose que el número de veces que el retículo-rumen es mayor que los tramos posteriores (abomaso, intestino delgado, intestino grueso y ciego) es superior en los rebeccs que en las ovejas, no siendo las cabras estadísticamente diferentes de los primeros.
