Abstract

Con el objetivo de conocer las diferencias que la disponibilidad de pasto y la raza de ovejas (churra vs merina) pueden ejercer sobre el valor nutritivo del pasto (familias botánicas más importantes, proporción de materia vegetal viva, proporción de hojas, contenido en proteína bruta, contenido en fibra neutro detergente y disgestibilidad de la materia seca) se llevó a cabo un experimento, de acuerdo con un diseño factorial 2x2x5,definido por: 2 alturas de pasto ( 6,5 cm), 2 razas ovinas (ovejas adultas de raza churra y merina) y 5 periodos de muestreo (de junio a octubre). El pasto utilizado fue sembrado hace 8 años y segado cada 9 días durante el periodo experimental. La altura de pasto menor presentó una mayor proporción de materia vegetal viva (0,81 vs 0,73, P> de la materia seca (0,71 vs 0,67, P> de la materia seca (0,70 vs 0,68, p<0,05) y un menor valor de fibra neutro detergente (0,50 vs 0,55, P<0,001).
