Abstract

[EN] This paper reports some hypotheses about the role that trade had on the prehistoric communities of the Balearic Islands during the Late Bronze Age (IX-XIII centuries cal BC). So, from of an overall perspective regarding the islands of the archipelago, we defend the inclusion of Pitiusas islands on the Naviforme society. In the same way it assesses the relationship between the collapse of this social formation and the emergence of Phoenician trade around the Balearic Sea.
