Los oráculos de Apolo sobre la peste y los tespiodas clarios

Abstract

Cinco largos oráculos métricos de Apolo Clario dados a ciudades aquejadas por la peste han sido a menudo atribuidos a la época de la gran peste que asoló el imperio romano en época de Marco Aurelio, a partir del 165 d.C. Hay también quien opina que no hay elementos de juicio claros para fechar con precisión ninguno de ellos. Frente a unos y otros, cabe señalar algunos indicios para fechar aproximadamente estos textos, algunos antes del 165 d.C. y otros un poco después.
