Ciudades, glocalización y patrimonio contestado: una historia de Bata y de Al-Hoceima, 1900-2019 (Guinea Ecuatorial y Marruecos)

Abstract

El patrimonio contestado, entendido como protesta en espacios urbanos emblemáticos, es uno de los ejes sobre el que se reconstruye la historia de dos ciudades que estuvieron en los márgenes de la colonización española en África, Bata (Guinea Ecuatorial) y Al-Hoceima (Marruecos). La Antropología ilustra por qué la ocupación de la Plaza del Reloj de Bata fue clave para la decolonización que promovió Macías Nguema, o por qué Obiang Nguema renunció a demolerla tras la asombrosa defensa batense. También nos explica por qué los grafittis en lugares como la Playa del Quemado o una empresa conservera de Al-Hoceima, constituyen un patrimonio contestado que, además de decolonizar la memoria española, cuestiona la integración rifeña actual. Escrito desde los Estudios Postcoloniales y Decoloniales, la autora recupera voces guineoecuatorianas y marroquíes para confrontarlas con las españolas y desmitificar así la retórica dominante sobre las prácticas coloniales españolas en África. El estudio entrelaza historias locales con historias nacionales en un marco de Historia Global que actualiza la centralidad glocal de estas ciudades en términos de empoderamiento étnico-nacional fang y amazigh. El resultado es un apasionante puzle de memorias individuales y colectivas que rechaza el segregacionismo racial y la racialización de las diferencias culturales.
