[ES] Esta aportación analiza la comprensión que los adultos mayores residentes en España en diferentes contextos (vivienda familiar, vivienda colaborativa, residencia de mayores). Los datos proceden de entrevistas en profundidad y de grupos de discusión realizados durante 2017 a hombres y mujeres, y han sido analizados temáticamente. Este tipo de resultados es relevante para el diseño de entornos residenciales amigables que permitan envejecer con autonomía e independencia en los contextos residenciales de propia elección.
[EN] This paper aims at understanding the layperception of residential environment among the Spanish older adults related to residential environment in different residential areas (family housing, co-housing, and institutionalization). The data come from in-depth interviews and focus groups conducted to men and women, in 2017, applying thematic analysis. The results are relevant for the design of agefriendly environments that allow ageing with autonomy and independence in the residential contexts of their own choice.
