[EN] The aim of this article is to contribute with several texts that have not been taken into account and could be sources of Lope’s comedy El Hamete de Toledo, particularly Father Román de la Higuera’s manuscript. Furthermore, the existence of several characters within the comedy is documented, which allows us to assume the veracity of the events that take place in it, as well as the important relationship with one of the characters, which in turn enables us to venture a definite date of composition.
[ES] Se trata de aportar varios textos no tenidos en cuenta que pueden ser fuente de la comedia de Lope El Hamete de Toledo, en particular el manuscrito del padre Román de la Higuera. Además, se documenta la existencia de algunos personajes de la comedia que nos permite suponer la veracidad de los hechos de la misma y la importante relación con uno de sus personajes, lo cual posibilita aventurar también una fecha concreta de composición.
