Abstract

[EN] The Old Latin version of the Bible (Vetus Latina) as textual corpus is fundamental for the study of the Latin language, but it has not always been sufficiently valued. In the Vetus Latina, in the second half of the 2th c. and early 3th, the doctrinal christian vocabulary in Latin was forged. This vocabulary was part of the written and spoken Latin in the late antiquity and throughout the Middle Ages, and survived in the Romanic languages. Access to these texts to sixty years ago was very difficult because the known evidences were few and there were not available editions for many of them. At present the progress of the editions has allowed a better understanding of the language of VL. The most
