Optimización del cultivo y de métodos de enriquecimiento en nauplios de Artemia franciscana como alimento vivo en acuicultura

Abstract

La gran explotación y el declive de Artemia franciscana como alimento vivo y la falta de alimentos sintéticos para la alimentación de larvas y para-larvas de peces en la acuicultura es uno de los mayores problemas que presenta el avance de la acuicultura en la actualidad. Es por ello qué en el presente estudio se llevan a cabo una serie de bioensayos donde se expuso a la especie bisexual A. franciscana desde las 0 horas (recién eclosionados, Instar I) hasta las 24 horas (Instar II y III) de su ciclo vital con la finalidad de mejorarlo como alimento vivo en la acuicultura. Por ello, se alimentó con dos microalgas (Tetraselmis suecica e Isochrysis galbana) a diferentes concentraciones y bajo condiciones de cultivo variables (iluminación/alimento/concentración) para evaluar su efecto sobre la talla y la tasa de filtración e ingestión. Los resultados del estudio demostraron que tanto la especie como la concentración de microalga afectaban en la talla media de los nauplios, así como en la tasa de filtración e ingestión. Por otra parte, se llevó a cabo el enriquecimiento lipídico de A. franciscana a través de diferentes combinaciones de la solución enriquecedora y la solución antioxidante para evaluar el daño oxidativo causado por el medio prooxidante del enriquecimiento, a partir del empleo de biomarcadores (PT, CAT y TBARS), sobre los nauplios (T24) Los resultados del estudio demostraron que había variaciones en la actividad antioxidante de la biomasa de los nauplios (T28) según el tratamiento de enriquecimiento empleado.
