To his end surface activity at different pH values, insertion in dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and dipalmitoyl phosphatidylglycerol (DPPG) were determined. This peptide forms stable monolayers and is able to insert in neutral and anionic films. Miscibility studies with DPPC show positive deviations from ideality at 0.6–0.8 DPPC molar fractions.
A short peptide related to SIKVAK laminin active sequence was derivatised with a estearoyl residue. This hydrophobic peptide was characterised as far as its physicochemical properties were concerned.
