Abstract

En la campaña pesquera del «trawler»«Costa Canaria», en aguas de Cabo Blanco a fines de enero de I960 y entre el diverso material capturado a una profundidad de unos 330 metros, apareció un extraño pez al que, por no haberlo visto nunca los pescadores, le dieron el nombre de pez elefante. Gracias a la amabilidad de don Eugenio Bravo, representante de la casa Ojeda, tuve la oportunidad de estudiarlo, creyendo indicado dedicar esta pequeña nota, dada la rareza de la especie. [...]
