Modificación de la textura en arcillas sobreconsolidadas de origen continental: influencia en las propiedades de superficie

Abstract

Gran parte de los estudios que comparan el comportamiento mecánico y la microtextura de materiales arcillosos toman como punto de partida el trabajo de Burland (1990) en el que se comparan las propiedades de la muestra natural y de la denominada "reconstituida". En los últimos años se han desarrollado una serie de trabajos que incluyen, además, la comparación con un tercer estado: el de la muestra "sedimentada" (Stallebrass et al., 2007). Ésta se obtiene en un proceso de sedimentación en laboratorio utilizando para ello una columna de sedimentación. Este tipo de estudios se ha realizado generalmente sobre arcillas de origen marino, siendo muy escasas las referencias sobre arcillas de origen continental. En este trabajo se estudian las propiedades de superficie de una arcilla sobreconsolidada de origen continental procedente de las Facies Dueñas de la zona central de la Cuenca del Duero, comparando la muestra en el estado natural, reconstituida y sedimentada
