Síntesis de complejos de metales del grupo del Platino estabilizados por ligandos trifluorometilo: Complejos de Pd(IV)

Abstract

Los complejos organometálicos de Pd(IV) descritos en la literatura científica son mucho menos comunes que los análogos de Pt(IV), y en su gran mayoría se encuentran estabilizados por ligandos quelato. En vista de ello, en el presente Trabajo Fin de Máster se plantea la síntesis de nuevos complejos de Pd(IV) que contienen exclusivamente ligandos monodentados, como el trifluorometilo. Así, se ha preparado y caracterizado el precursor de paladio(II) [NBu4]2[Pd(CF3)4], que muestra mejores propiedades de solubilidad que la sal análoga de [NMe4]+. En presencia de agua, este compuesto evoluciona al carbonil derivado [NBu4][Pd(CF3)3CO]. La oxidación del complejo [NBu4]2[Pd(CF3)4] con Cl2 y Br2 disueltos en CCl4 conduce a la obtención de los derivados organometálicos de paladio(IV) [NBu4]2[trans-Pd(CF3)4X2] (X = Cl, Br) de forma estereoselectiva. El estudio por difracción de rayos X del derivado-diclorado confirma la disposición trans de los ligandos cloruro. La adición oxidante de Br2 depende del disolvente de reacción, y se produce preferentemente en acetonitrilo. La modelización mediante cálculos teóricos DFT ha permitido describir la influencia del disolvente en el mecanismo de estas reacciones de oxidación. Por otro lado, la oxidación con SOCl2 de la especie [NBu4]2[Pd(CF3)4] lleva a la obtención estereoselectiva del isómero [NBu4]2[cis-Pd(CF3)4Cl2]. El tratamiento posterior de este con LiBr produce el intercambio de halógeno, dando lugar a la especie [NBu4]2[cis-Pd(CF3)4Br2]. Finalmente, se han estudiado potenciales vías de acceso a derivados organometálicos de paladio(IV) con enlaces Pd─F. Así, la reacción del precursor con XeF2 en CH2Cl2 conduce a la formación de la especie [NBu4]2[trans-Pd(CF3)4FCl], que evoluciona a una mezcla de isómeros cis y trans. Por otro lado, en la reacción llevada a cabo en estado sólido se aprecia la formación del derivado [NBu4]2[trans-Pd(CF3)4F2]. Cabe destacar que los complejos sintetizados en este trabajo son los derivados de Pd(IV) con el mayor número de grupos orgánicos, conocidos hasta la fecha, de formula: RxPdLy (x > 3).
