El trabajo incluye la evaluación de la capacidad antimicrobiana del bacteriófago phiIPLA-RODI frente a biofilms mixtos constituidos por la cepa S. aureus IPLA16 y una de las cepas pertenecientes a las especies acompañantes: Enterococcus faecium MMRA, Lactobacillus plantarum 55-1, Lactobacillus pentosus A1 o Lactobacillus pentosus B1. El fago es capaz de elimina S. aureus IPLA16 en presencia de la microbiota acompañante, dependiendo la extensión de la eliminación del microorganismo acompañante, siendo el descenso más acusado cuando en el biofilm está presente L pentosus A1.
