El fitoplancton en la Ria de Vigo y sus condiciones ambientales

Abstract

La Ría de Vigo es la más meridional de las Rías Bajas gallegas y la segunda en superficie (176 km2 ) siendo la más extensa la de Arosa {230 km2). Su profundidad no pasa de los cincuenta metros en las proximidades de la boca que está cerrada parcialmente por las Islas Cíes. Por tanto, la comunicación de la Ria con el océano se realiza a través de dos bocas: la Norte de unos 2 , 5 Km de ancho y 2 3 m de profundidad y la Sur de 5 Km de ancho y 52 m de profundidad. Además existe un pequeño paso de 0,5 km y unos 7 rn de profundidad entre las dos islas
