Abstract

El primer estudio estrictamente geológico en la vertiente sur de la Sierra de Guadarrama, lugar donde se encuentran ubicados los yacimientos de plantas, se debe a Capote (1978) quien describe el metamorfismo y la tectónica de la zona. A este trabajo le siguen otros que tratan sobre estudios cartográficos (Sopeña, 1980), sedimentológicos (Alonso, 1981; Mas, 1982) del borde norte y sur de esta sierra, respectivamente.

Ejemplar dedicado a: Patrimonio Paleontológico de la Comunidad de Madrid.
