Abstract

El análisis de la biblioteca personal, cuyo catálogo hemos encontrado en la Sección Nobleza del Archivo Histórico Nacional, nos permite de algún modo desentrañar la atmósfera cultural y política en la que se desenvolvió la vida y acción política de Salvador José Muro y Salazar, segundo marqués de Someruelos, cuyo mandato en Cuba entre 1799 y 1812 fue uno de los más largos de la colonia y que además se desarrollo en unos momentos muy complicados para España.
