[ES] Nuestra intención con este texto es mostrar la complejidad de los procesos de patrimonialización contemporáneos, en los que intervienen la identidad y la memoria, individual y colectiva. Para ello, reflexionamos en torno a una entidad discreta (la canción Strawberry Fields Forever, compuesta por John Lennon en 1966, durante una estancia en Almería), una obra de arte cuyo origen es muy concreto y que se despliega, a lo largo del tiempo, en un abanico de manifestaciones y fenómenos de asociación y apropiación social relacionados con esa misma obra. Por otro lado, ésta (por su propia condición autobiográfica) nos servirá para reflexionar sobre el engarce entre la actividad sensorial, cognitiva y estética del individuo concreto que la creó y el entorno social que se apropió del resultado con posterioridad. Es decir, nos servirá para mostrar la relación entre la memoria como cualidad individual, y la memoria como proceso colectivo de apropiación y (re)creación de determinados espacios y materialidades.

[EN] The aim of this paper is to show the complexity of contemporary heritagization processes, in which both individual and collective identity and memory are involved. To achieve this, we reflect on a discrete entity (the song Strawberry Fields Forever, composed by John Lennon in 1966, during a stay in Almeria). As a work of art this song is very specific but it unfolds over time in a range of manifestations and phenomena of social associations and appropriation related to the work. Moreover, this song (by its own autobiographical condition) will serve to reflect on the link between sensory, cognitive, and aesthetic activity of the concrete individual who created it and the social environment that appropriated the result of such activity afterwards. That is, it will serve to show the relationship between memory as an individual quality, and memory as a collective process of appropriation and (re)creation of certain spaces and materialities.
