[EN] As a result of the breeding work started in 1951, sorne new vetch cultivars have been obtained. Cool resistence, high forage productivity and earliness were the main characteristics which served as basis for the selection. In the present paper the results related to productivity and earliness, both considered together, are reported. These results indicate the great possibilities of selecting productive, precoce and disease-free varieties of common vetch.
