Preparación de Aminoácidos con Alta Pureza Óptica

Abstract

La obtención de aminoácidos no naturales ópticamente puros que luego puedan ser introducidos en péptidos bioactivos o catalíticos para modular su conformación y actividad es un área de gran interés en síntesis orgánica y química médica.1,2En esta comunicación se describe el uso de aminoácidos naturales, comerciales y baratos para obtener bibliotecas de aminoácidos no naturales de alta pureza óptica y de alto valor añadido. Esta conversión tiene como paso clave un proceso dominó de escisión radicalaria-oxidación,3 llevado a cabo con reactivos de yodo hipervalente y yodo, bajo irradiación con luz visible. También se explora el uso de microondas para activar la reacción, en sustitución de la luz visible.
