[EN] The invention relates to a method for the molecular determination of the sex of birds by means of loop-mediated isothermal amplification. The invention provides primer sequences, reactants and protocols for determining sex in the class Aves, using loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP). Unlike other PCR-based molecular techniques, this invention does not require thermal cyclers or specialised laboratories and therefore allows the sex of birds to be determined anywhere incubation at a single temperature can be carried out. The invention can be used in all fields related to ornithology (mainly aviculture, ecology and conservation).
